DoubleSunrise is for health education and health promotion, but at times you may need more help. If you are concerned that you or a friend is in trouble, it is important to reach out for help.

If you are feeling suicidal or unsafe now or need immediate help:
Dial 911 or the operator and just ask for help or go to your nearest hospital Emergency Room. Don't hesitate. Even when you are in doubt...it's important to reach out for help.

There are many hotlines available by phone. Here is a list of a few:

For urgent care:

Smoking Cessation Hotline
To find help and counseling in your state call 1-800-425-3422 for a list of national stop smoking resources.

National STD and AIDS Hotline

A 24 hour hotline by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), provides information regarding sexually transmitted diseases that is anonymous and confidential. Referrals to local clinics as well.

Planned Parenthood

A 24 hour hotline that automatically connects you with the Planned Parenthood Clinic nearest you. Planned Parenthood offers reproductive, STD, contraceptive and pregnancy counseling.
